Following his capture, a photo of the suspected mastermind of the Imo attacks, Nnamdi Okafor, with chief of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has appeared.
Nnamdi Okafor was reportedly arrested for allegedly supporting the actions of unidentified gunmen connected to numerous shootings, the burning of police stations, and the attack on the Owerri Correctional Centre.
Okafor, a director of Pecubel Hotel, was apprehended at Aboha-Ohi near the Lifeline Assembly Owerri/Orlu road in Imo state, according to Vanguard.
Shortly after his arrest, a photo of him with the leader of the secessionist group surfaced. The photo which was shared in 2020 came with the caption “The only man we can die for, hope for Kanu hope for our Biafra nation”.
