Sunday Adeyemo, alias Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba Nation activist, has claimed to be in his home in Ibadan, Oyo State’s capital.
The DSS had declared Igboho wanted following a search on his Soka, Ibadan house on Thursday, during which its operatives allegedly discovered guns and ammunition.
There were rumours on Friday evening that the freedom fighter had been apprehended by security officers.
To dispel the notion, Igboho talked via phone call during a live Facebook video sponsored by his spokesman, Olayomi Koiki.
Adeyemo stated that he had heard of his arrest but that it was not real.
“I want to appreciate God and all my fans throughout the world. Today is July 2, 2021. I heard about the rumour that Sunday Igboho has been arrested at Guru Maharaji place.
“There is nothing like that. I am not at Guru. I am in my house at Ibadan. Thank you,” Igboho said.
