The Late Anne Nhira
The South Africa Police Service (SAPS) have opened a murder docket against unknown assailants who attacked the late former Studio 263 actress Anne Nhira on Monday last week.
iHarare has established from H-Metro that her family has said once everything has been put in order, her body will be repatriated.
Speaking at the funeral wake in Manyame Park, family spokesperson Florence Ziyambi said investigations were underway.
“Ziyambi disclosed that a murder docket has been opened in South Africa and that they have been given a case reference number, although they have not yet arrested the attackers.
“She added that Anne’s brother Juan, whom she was in the company of on the day in question, is the one making efforts to provide information.
Narrating the events which took place before Anne met her fate, Ziyambi said “according to the reports the family got, the late actress and her brother had gone for a morning prayer in a mountain on Monday last week.
After she was done with her morning prayers, Anne decided to return home, leaving her brother behind. However, as she was going down the mountain passing through a park, she was attacked.
“Anne is said to have told some passersby who saw her after the attack that she had left her brother in the mountain.
“They rushed to call him before she was ferried to the hospital where doctors could not identify any visible injuries.
‘She also said X-rays were taken, but no injuries were seen and she was then given medication and went back home.
‘They went back to the hospital on Wednesday after her condition deteriorated.
‘Upon arrival at the hospital, she was put in the resuscitation room and they were told to stay outside. After a few minutes, they were told that she had passed on.
Ziyambi apprised mourners of the burial arrangements saying Nyaradzo Funeral Services has taken over to do the necessary repatriation process although she was not sure when they will be through.
Anne died on Wednesday last week following a robbery attack.
