ASUU To End Strike, Impasse Resolved At The Cost Of N70bn Agreement With Buhari Govt.

The Federal Government has promised a total increment of N70 billion to ASUU.

The agreement was reached on Friday 27th November in a meeting with the union leaders and the FG representatives led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, DR. Chris Ngige.

On that note, the Academic Staff Union of Universities accepted to suspend the lingered 8 months strike.

The new development is as a result of the Federal Government having consented to the demands of unions being removed from the FG’s new payment platform, Integrated Payroll, and Personnel Information System.
