According to the Liverpool Echo, Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi is on the verge of leaving Liverpool on a permanent basis.
The Reds are looking to cash in on the 23-year-old, who is being pursued by a number of teams this summer.
Awoniyi joined Liverpool in 2015 for a reputed €1.1 million after impressing with the Golden Eagles at the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
However, due to work visa difficulties, he has yet to make a single appearance for Liverpool.
The striker has spent time on loan in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, with FSV Mainz 05 paying Liverpool €500,000 to sign the Nigerian attacker for the 2019/20 Bundesliga season.
Awoniyi spent the 2020/2021 campaign at Union Berlin, where he produced five goals and four assists in 22 games across all competitions.
With his work permit finally granted earlier this year, the former Royal Mouscron man retained hopes he could finally be given a chance to make his breakthrough at Anfield.
