Dr. Helen Paul, a well-known Nigerian comedian, has taken to social media to show parents how to raise their children.

This is in the aftermath of the suspected rape saga involving comedian Princess’s daughter and actor Baba Ijesha.

Helen Paul believes that parents should raise their children in such a way that they cherish no one until they are there.

She went on to say, “How can a child be so afraid to tell her parents about being molested for 7 years?”

She also admitted that as a child, she was more afraid of her parents than of anyone else, and that she feels she will always find safety with her parents.

“play with your children. Let them be able to open up to you. Your children should not be scared of an outsider more than you” She said.

See how Nigerians reacted to the video below:

Nike EMR wrote, “Every basic Nigerian child is scared of their parents oooo and I think we should all do better not to train our kids in that way they trained us . It’s a Nigerian thing it’s been there that’s just it”

Keezy wrote, “Parents and guardians being too strict and over religious to your kids doesn’t mean you’re training them well”

Sir Tijaja wrote, “You can be close to your child and still discipline them. You just have to be conscious about parenting. African parents be dumping their frustration on their kids. They go dey bully your pikin for boarding school, he no go fit tell you. My aunt is a no nonsense lady but her kids never hide anything from her.”
