President Muhammadu Buhari has responded to the deaths of Mohammed Husaini and other leaders of Miyetti Allah in Nasarawa Province.
In a statement signed by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, the President expressed his condolences to the government and citizens of Nasarawa for the gruesome killing of the Miyetti Allah leaders.
Buhari stated that the slain leaders formed a military alliance with the government to combat the threat of bandits and kidnappers.
The late state governor, Husaini, who was among those killed, was identified by the President as a symbol of peace in Nasarawa and the subregion.
While praying for the souls of those killed, President Buhari urged the state’s Fulani leaders to elect new leaders who will build on the pillars of peace established by the Husaini-led leadership.
The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working with all members of society to rid the world of militants, bandits, and kidnappers.
