Buhari reapoints Hadiza Usman to NPA MD

President Muhammadu Buhari has accepted the re-appointment of Hadiza Bala Usman as Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) for a further five-year period.

The reconstitution of the NPA Non-Executive Board, with Mr Emmanuel Olajide Adesoye (from the south-west zone) as Chairman, is also authorised.

Other Board members are: Prince Ekenyem Nwafor-Orizu (South-East zone), Akinwunmi Ricketts (South-South zone), Ghazali Mohammed Mijinyawa (North-East zone), Mustapha Amin Dutse (North-West zone), and Abdulwahab Adesina (North-Central zone).

The President, in a statement released by Femi Adesina, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, also authorised the Board of Directors of the Nigerian Transmission Company (TCN), which would oversee the appointment of a new Managing Director for the organisation.

They are: Muhammad K. Ahmad, OON, President Henry Okolo, Imamudden Talba, Ambassador Usman Sarki, Ali Haruna, Engr. Simeone Atakulu, Zubai Mahey Rasheed, Dr. Mustapha Abiodun Akinkunmi, Engr. Oladele Amoda, Dr Nkiru Balonwu.

Other members of the TCN Board are: representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Budget and National Planning, Ministry of Electricity, Office for Public Enterprise, FGN Power Company Limited and TCN Executive Management.
