COVID-19: Nigeria reports 113 new infections, bringing the total number of active cases to 10,363.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has reported 113 new COVID-19 cases in nine states and the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja.

This takes the cumulative number of infections reported in the world to 162,388.

The announcement was made by the health agency in a post on its checked Facebook page on Friday night during an update.

NCDC said about 104 patients were discharged across the country bringing the total number of recoveries to 149,986.

No fewer than three persons also died of COVID19 complications in the last 24 hours as total fatalities hit 2,039.

According to the report, States with the highest fresh cases include Lagos-53, Rivers-22 and Akwa Ibom-12.

Others are: Kaduna-12, Ondo-6,Osun-3, FCT-2, Jigawa-1, Nasarawa-1 and Kano-1.
