The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office, has arrested a 24-year-old woman, Queen Jonathan, for her suspected participation in the Bitcoin Scam.

Jonathan was apprehended on March 26 in Oghara, Delta State.

During investigation, the suspect admitted that she used Instagram to pose as Sophia Rodriguez, a Bitcoin specialist, in order to defraud unsuspecting victims.

 

Items recovered from her include an Infinix Hot 8 mobile phone.

 

According to EFCC, the suspect has made a useful statement and will be arraigned in Court as soon as the investigation is completed.
