Pep Guardiola, the coach of Manchester City, has shared his joy at securing his third Premier League title with the club.
He told the club website that he can’t wait for the season finale against Everton so he can celebrate with the supporters.
City won their fifth Premier League title since Manchester United were defeated 2-1 at home by Leicester City on Tuesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s team had been closing in on the title for several weeks, but they had to wait for Manchester United to lose before they could be declared champions.
On Saturday, City should have wrapped up the league and were on track to do so when Raheem Sterling opened the scoring against Chelsea, but Sergio Aguero missed a penalty before Hakim Ziyech and Marcos Alonso scored to give their forthcoming Champions League final opponents the victory.
Guardiola while reacting to the achievements says the celebration day will be a special day.
“I am looking forward to Everton game,” he said. “We will lift the trophy and 10,000 are coming.
“In the Carabao Cup just a few people were there and it was so different. This business without the people is not the same.”
