Some unidentified gunmen stormed GSS Jangebe, Zamfara county, last night, and abducted female students.

The abduction occurred early on Friday, February 26, a few days after the abduction of the Kagara students in the state of Niger.

Some 300 female students from GSS Jangebe in Zamfara state have been abducted by gunmen, according to sources.

Confirming the incidents, Hon. Suleiman Tunau Anka, State Information Commissioner, said the gunmen stormed the school around early Friday morning and abducted the students.

He noted, however, that the number of students abducted by the state government has yet to be identified.
