Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has responded only hours after the Lagos State Police Command announced plans to release embattled Nollywood star Baba Ijesha for reportedly molesting a minor.

A senior officer with the Lagos State Police Command reported to PUNCH Metro that a directive had been released for the release of Baba Ijesha on Friday, April 30th.

The police claimed that the suspect was released due to the current strike by members of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria, which has rendered the courts inoperable, and that the suspect could not be held indefinitely without a hearing.

In a post on her Instagram page, Iyabo Ojo shared a screenshot of the definition of rape and sexual assault, which includes any act of indecency.

According to Iyabo Ojo, the police and the victim confirmed Baba Ijesha only touched the minor inappropriately. She there questioned if such an act is not likened to sexual assault.

Iyabo Ojo wrote: They said he just touched her inappropriately so touching a minor inappropriately is not sexual assault, I weep for this country………
