Oladotun Okeowo, aka Dotti, the winner of the initial edition of music reality show, MTN Y’ello Star, is rest assured that despite how full the music industry is, he has what it takes to compete favorably with the top artistes in the country.
In an interview with newsmen, the singer also accepted that he was under duress to make his mark in the industry. He said, “That is one of my uppermost thoughts at the moment. Every time I wake up, there is a bit of that pressure on me. I am trying to be cool about it but it is there. I know that as the first MTN Y’ello Star winner, a lot of people are looking up to me to see what I have to offer. I also have it at the back of my mind that many reality show winners end up not doing well in their careers. However, I believe I have what it takes to compete with other top acts in the music industry. This is my time and I am ready to take it.”
He said, his next plans were, “The platform has put me on a pedestal and I am very happy about that. I had plans before I came on the show but now, I have to restrategize. I would sit down with my team and come up with another strategy.”
