Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh, was in high spirits again during the week after months of mourning her only child, Aladi Godgifts, who died in October last year after an unsuccessful operation in Abuja.
Since the death of her daughter, the star of the M-net TV series ‘The Johnsons’ has declined to be comforted, as she continues to lament the loss of a young girl she had at the age of 14.
But on the night of tributes to late film producer Chico Ejiro on Tuesday at the National Theater Complex, Idoma, Benue’s state-born actress was spotted cracking jokes and sharing pleasures with her colleagues, as if she had conquered her daughter’s painful exit.
Perhaps it was her first ever public appearance after the death and burial of Aladi.
However, while she was having a swelling time with her colleagues under the famous Abegi tree, after the event, one of her colleagues jokedly accused Ada Ameh of being a snatcher husband because she played passionately with one of her male colleagues.
The actress, best known for her role as Anita in the 1996 film ‘Domitilla’ and Emu Johnson in the award-winning sitcom, ‘The Johnsons’ immediately denied the charge. “I am not the snatcher of a husband,” she enthused.
Indeed, while the event lasted, the famous actress was not only vibrant, but she was also seen hopping from one location to another, reuniting with her friends and colleagues.
