Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, has clarified allegations that he intends to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) (APC).

In an interview with Daily Trust, Kwankwaso’s communications assistant, Saifullahi Hassan, stated that the circulating rumour was untrue.

The Kwankwasiyya Movement’s leader further stated that he has no plans to form a new political party to fight the PDP and APC for the presidency in 2023.

Meanwhile, the Kano State Commissioner for Rural Development, Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, has said Kwankwaso will be welcomed back to the APC if fhe is ready to submit to the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

“If Kwankwaso wants to come to APC, let him withdraw his red cap to come under Ganduje,” he added.
