Leke Adeboye, son of General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has claimed that he was grilled for 8 hours in order to apply to serve as Pastor Adeboye’s Personal Assistant.

In a YouTube interview with Moyosore Akinwole, he said this.

About the fact that he is the son of Pastor Adeboye, Leke claims he did not get the job handed to him.

He described the interview as “difficult.” “I have never been grilled so hard in my life,” he says. I was perfectly prepared for the interview. I wore a long suit, not even a bow tie, and walked out with a singlet and a boxer.”

Leke claimed that his probation period after securing the position was a year and six months, as opposed to those in the missions’ jobs who had a six-month probation period.

Although thanking God for the experience of becoming Pastor Adeboye’s PA, Leke, who studied Space Engineering and also has a Masters in Project Management, said that after his studies, he felt compelled to work for the RCCG.

He claimed that Pastor Adeboye had never had a PA until he arrived on the scene, comparing the work to that of a messenger.

Recalling that he has been living in the Redemption Camp when he was six months. He said he could not recall what happened in his formative years.

But he sees his work as PA to his father as a great honour. “I do not take the role for granted. Many people in this mission are qualified for the job but it happened that they did not apply” he said.

While noting that RCCG is in over 190 countries of the world, Leke said the PA to the church’s next General Overseer would have to speak many international languages.

He believes anyone who hears from God and who God is calling to His service should not hesitate to work for God but that such opportunity should not be taken for granted.

“I give glory to God for what he has been able to do. I will advise anyone who hears the calling to jump at it. But you need to separate between your father and your job.”
