The FG has inaugurated an auto-gas scheme in Abuja on the 1st day of December 2020.
Timipre Sylva, the State Minister for Petroleum Resources, and Mele Kyari the Director(NNPC)Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation had told newsmen that the auto-gas consists of compressed natural gas and liquified petroleum gas.
The autogas station was inaugurated in Lugbe, Abuja, under the National Gas Expansion Programme and National Autogas Roll-out initiative.
It’s was revealed at the event, that vehicles that use autogas will spend less in refilling their tanks than those using Premium motor spirit a.k.a petrol.
Also at the inauguration stand 5 buses using auto-gas were handed over to Nigeria- Labor Congress (NLC) and pledged to deliver more than 100 buses to the union, Sylva said.
“But I can assure you that it is cheaper than PMS.”
