President Muhammadu Buhari has hailed the Nigerian team to the 2020 Huawei Global ICT competition for taking the first position out of 150,000 contestants that participated in the cloud and networking exams.
He acknowledged the organisers for their efforts in the development of ICT potentials across the nation.
The attendees were the students from the universities of Ibadan, Port Harcourt, and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. They were celebrated for their achievements at an online award ceremony hosted at the Huwaei headquarters in China.
The President’s Special Assistant on Youth and Students Affairs, Mr. Nasir Sa’idu Adhama represented President Buhari at the occasion held at Huawei Nigeria (Abuja).
The minister of communications and Digital Economy, Dr.Isa Ali Pantami said that ICT was offering a symbolic growth to the nation’s wealth.
