Yemi Alade, a Nigerian musician, has spoken out about the current state of affairs in her country.

According to Yemi, Nigerians are accustomed to hearing bad news, kidnappings, and deaths in the region.

In addition, the ‘Johnny’ singer claimed that Nigerians have taken over management of open house asylums.

Taking to twitter to say this, Yemi wrote:

“Nigerians have gotten used to hearing bad news ,kidnap, deaths, .We have become managers of an open house asylum!”

Reacting to this;

@Jimmy46451541 – I don’t even bother about news anymore because you only get bad ones. Is as if I am used to it. Annoying part is, the “handlers” don’t seem to care since it’s not affecting them directly or not. Las las, they will travel out of the country and leave those who can’t.

@oluwalolemi – We are not used to it but this is the situation we found ourselves and I believe strongly that we will all come out of it with victory over the adversaries. Have a great evening ahead. And always be safe in any area you found yourself in our great nation Nigeria.
