Nigerians respond after a woman on Twitter posted pictures of old Biafran notes she discovered in her father’s home.

Chioma, a Nigerian lady, has posted photographs of Biafra currencies she discovered in her father’s home. She shared images of clean notes and coins from the country’s civil war, which lasted from 6 July 1967 to 15 January 1970.

 

Posting the photos online, she wrote;

”Found ancient Biafran currencies in my fathers house ! These notes are over 60 years old and quite beautiful to say the least

Biafran pounds and shillings

50kobo and one Naira notes. Throwback to when these notes had value”
