Following tribal clashes in Ebonyi state’s Effium and Ezza communities, the police have named 18 people wanted.

A leadership squabble over a famous motor park in the city sparked the communal squabble.

Many of those declared wanted are said to be from Effium, and they are wanted on charges such as homicide, arson, illegal possession of firearms and explosives, attempting to commit a crime, and cultism.

The state police spokesperson, DSP Loveth Odah said in a statement;

“The wanted persons are all indigenes of Effium\Ezza-Effium Community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.

“Handsome reward awaits any person with useful information that can lead to arrest of the suspects.”
