The Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai in an interview on Channels Television on Monday 30th November 2020, has said he has observed the extensive murder and insecurity across the nation. Stressing that the Governors are all foiled with security personnel as a whole.
He described the governors being called the chief security officers as just figurehead, not aware of what the police is doing and does not have a say in their posting, nor police getting directives from them before carrying out their plans.
“We are called chief security officers only in name, we have no control over coercive instruments of state. We are almost helpless”. El-Rufai says.
