Alhajj Abba Gidan, Senator Aliyu Wamakko’s personal aide, was found dead after being abducted by unknown gunmen in Sokoto.

His ashes were buried in compliance with Islamic traditions.

Abba, a 50-year-old resident, was discovered dead on the road to Durbawa in the state’s Kware local government.

His funeral was led by Chief Imam of the Sheikh Uthman Bin Fodiyo juma’at Mosque, Sokoto, Sheikh Abubakar Shehu Na Liman.

In attendance to pay their last respect were; the Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Muhammadu Dingyadi; the state acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Isa Achida; traditional rulers, Islamic clerics, members of the national and state assemblies, serving and retired civil servants, as well as thousands of sympathizers.

Haki is survived by a wife and five children.
