It may take some time for Nigerians to adjust to the truth that Olanrewaju Fasasi, better known as Sound Sultan, is no longer alive (dead).

The singer was regarded as one of the best artists and composers to have ever graced the Nigerian music scene.

Some of his songs will live on in the country as they relate to the country’s present condition, such as the government and poverty, among other things.

Here are some of Sound Sultan’s top 5 evergreen songs:

1. Jagbajantis

This song was his debut in his music career, released in 2000. The song became a hit instantly all over Nigeria as he criticised the government and proffered solutions to some of the issues in the country.

2. Ole
This song was released in 2011 from his album titled Bushmeat. The song featured veteran singer, Tuface and it spoke about the day people would turn around to ask for their rights.

3. Motherland
This song was released in 2008 and was a reminder to those who had travelled out to foreign countries not to forget the motherland as it will always be their
real home.

4. Hello Baale
While this song released in 2011 didn’t gain ground, it was lyrically content filled as Sound Sultan spoke about an unfaithful wife.

5. Fayaa Fayaa
This song was released in 2020, featuring Duktor Sett. He once again spoke on the bad governance in the country and how leaders don’t care about the people
