Ten pregnant girls and children rescued from a baby factory in Ogun

A lady identified as Chidera Onuoha has fled from a baby factory at Ofada Mowe, Obafemi- Owode LGA in Ogun State, and reported to the Police, that the owner of the factory wanted to sell her baby.

The police have conducted a search at the said factor and rescued 10 pregnant girls and a lot of kids, while the operator of the factory Mrs. Ogbonna Florence ran away during the search, leaving her daughter and a physically challenged man and then arrested them.

It has been gathered that the physically challenged man has been responsible for getting those girls pregnant, while the babies were sold after deliveries by Mrs. Ogbonna.

Ogbonna Florence has been arrested before now for similar offenses and standing trial for human trafficking.

Ogun Police Spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the girls were brought out from Imo, Abia, and Ebonyi states with the assurances of giving them employment but later forced them into the illicit job. The girls aged between 18 – 24 years.

The Police search at the factory was on the 1st day of December, the owner Florence Ogbonna fled though already standing trial for a similar offense, while Chidera Onuoha revealed the prices of the babies.

“If the baby is a boy, they sell it for N250,000, If it’s a girl N200,000.
