Actress Mary Njoku has turned to social media to criticise Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild Association of Nigeria, for his comments on BBNaija evictees.

KemifilaniNews remembers that earlier today, the AGN president stated that Nollywood is not a dumping ground for evictees who want to pursue acting following their eviction. His statement came after Tega, a BBNaija housemate, was booted from the show yesterday.

According to the actress, Nollywood is a dumping site to societal rejects and Nigeria’s No 1 rehabilitation centre as it gives shelter to those who have lost their ways. Also, Nollywood does not discriminate and judge people based on their pasts.

Speaking further, she mentioned Nollywood is home to all as so many jobless youths would have committed suicide due to stigmatization and discrimination

She wrote:

She doesn’t care about your past.
She doesn’t care about what the world thinks of you.
She doesn’t discriminate.
She holds you till find your feet in the the society.
ANYONE can make it in Nollywood.
She gives a clean slate to anyone who wants a 2nd, 3rd or 4th chance. She never stops giving.

Majority of us were unemployable in the society when we joined Nollywood. No degree. No certificates.
If not for Nollywood so many people would have committed suicide because of stigmatization and discrimination.
Nollywood is home to ALL.

She is life to anyone who wants to live. Remember that.
