Vice President Yemi Osinbajo congratulates Burna Boy and Wizkid on their Grammy nominations

Burnaboy and WizKid, according to Nigeria Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, “took the film industry by storm” with their Grammy wins.

According to Laolu Akande, Osinbajo’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, the Vice President made the remarks while presenting an opening message at a Lagos-based studio.

Osinbajo released a statement titled, ‘How the Buhari administration is promoting the development of the entertainment industry.’

The vice president was quoted saying, “On March 14, 2021, Burnaboy and Wizkid took the entertainment industry by storm, winning the Grammy Awards and established themselves as among the best musicians in the world.

“Burnaboy won in the Best Global Music Album category for the ‘Twice as Tall’ album, and Wizkid; the real star boy, in the Best Music Video category for his feature in the song ‘Brown Skin Girl.’”
