Activist Aisha Yesufu has begged Apaokagi Maryam, also known as Taaooma, not to apologise for her statehouse visit to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
During the week, Taaooma and a group of sketch performers paid a courtesy call to Vice President Biden at the statehouse. Their visit drew a lot of attention. The majority of Nigerian youngsters believed they should not have accepted the Vice President’s offer. Rinu, an activist, even went on Twitter to shame Taaooma for her visit.
Taaooma afterwards tendered a public apology. She mentioned that she was able to discuss the issues Nigerian youths would want to speak about to the government during the visit.
