Yusuf Buhari, President Buhari’s uncle, is expected to marry Kano Princess Zahra Bayero, an architecture student in the United Kingdom.

According to the Daily Nigerian, the couple’s wedding will take place “within the next two to three months.”

“Preparations are on top gear for the grand event. As the tradition provides, the parents of the groom have met with the parents of the bride to express Yusuf’s interest in marrying Zahra,” the source said, pleading anonymity.

The event would have allegedly taking place earlier, but due to the absence of the First Lady, Aisha Buhari at that time, the marriage was allegedly withhold.

“Now that his mother returned a few weeks to Ramadan [Muslim holy month], it is clear the wedding will take place after Sallah holidays,” the sources told Daily Nigerian.
